High Quality Two-Channel Noise De-Coupler
Ground Loop Isolator
The most likely cause of speaker hum is due to something called a ground loop. A ground loop occurs through differences in resistance in the electrical system. When a Computer or Audio Component is connected to an amplifier, a path is provided for electricity to flow from one wall socket to another as the electrical system tries to balance itself. This causes speakers to hum. The N-555 is a high quality, in-line noise de-coupler which breaks ground loops on the signal path with full bandwidth transformers. The two-channel N-555 eliminates alternator whine and ignition spikes due to signal path ground loops in competition or demo vehicles. The signal phase and frequency responses are ideal with the N-555.
